Our NIH BPN grant Received a good score

Our grant application (Ali, Lemmon, Bixby, Lee, Arizala) to the Blueprint Neurotherapeutics network was reviewed favorably. Central nervous system (CNS) axons typically fail to regenerate after injury, often leading to paralysis. We have discovered a series of compounds that strongly promote CNS axon regeneration. The goal of this proposal is to improve the properties of these compounds and generate a therapeutic candidate for clinical development.
